As a church, we place a high premium on the public means of grace (the preached Word, and the sacraments), but we also call Christians to the importance of private Bible reading. God’s written Word is of inestimable value in the Christian life. For the calendar year 2009 we are reading through the Word of God using a chronological reading plan. The readings are ordered on the basis of when the events recorded in them occur rather than on the basis of the order in which the books of the bible appear in our English bibles.
