Humanity was created to worship God.

The only way to find true meaning in life is through worshiping and serving God. Consequently, worship figures prominently into our church life at Providence. God has provided means to commune with Him through the preaching of His Word, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.

...and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.
— Rev 14:7

The Bible teaches us what we need to know about God including how to worship Him. Because of this we worship God with reverence, but also with great joy. Our worship is responsive. We hear from God through the preached Word and sacraments and we respond back to him with song, prayer, and cheerful giving.

We believe that worship is a family event and we rejoice that God gives both the youngest and the oldest the privilege of communing with Him in public worship.

Here we are united together into one body by God’s Spirit, are made participants in the coming kingdom.

In worship we hear the good news of our salvation and are saved from our sins and are transformed into the image of Christ.
